Interior Design Project

April 23, 2012

I have been working on an interior design project over the last few weeks and the design is now complete. The project involved designing a two bedroom flat to a considerably small budget. The decoration needed to be contemporary and of a neutral colour scheme throughout, whilst giving a high-end look. Space planning was important as the rooms where awkward shapes and quite small and a study needed to be incorporated into the flat. Below is the original mood board I created for a source of inspiration at the beginning of the project and the three final concept boards to give you a feel of the final outcome.

Love… Bunting

April 15, 2012

Bunting is proving to be very popular at the moment, reflecting the patriotic Britishness trend that keeps popping up in my posts! Here is a selection of my favourite bunting, which would be perfect to accessorise a home, decorate a summer garden party or style a wedding party.

The love for all things nostalgic and British this year can now be noticed in the popularity of the classic Penguin Books design. A contemporary twist on the traditional Penguin Books design can now been seen in a range of home accessories and designs. My favourite are the wedding invitations (image 6) by Marty McColgan.
