Nautical Design Scheme

March 27, 2012

I am thinking of decorating my summer-house ready for the summer BBQs and get togethers with friends. Living by the sea means I can take full advantage of the nautical interior trend. This is a trend that pops up every year and is popular again this summer. Below I have created a mood board with the home accessories available at the moment and is a great source of inspiration.

Love… Illustrations

March 21, 2012

Here are some of my favourite home accessories designed with illustrations. I think this look creates a more personal effect to a home and can create a really special, one off piece.

Neons and pastels are looking to be very popular this Spring and it is no wonder with the colour combination providing brighter, fresher and more experimental interiors. This colour scheme works well with a busy yet fun mixture of bright and pastels on your walls, floor and home accessories, or just as well subtly, with a few accent colours in a neutral or white space.

Item of the week…

This ghost glass clock designed by Yee-Lin Wan has a contemporary take on a traditional design. Stylish and elegant, it would be a perfect addition for your mantelpiece.

There are a lot of different tea light holders around at the moment but the most popular seem to have a vintage/ antique glass effect. These particular tea lights are a perfect decorative accessory and create gorgeous subtle lighting. Here are some of my favourites…
